TIM HAMEL
Owner
I’m Tim Hamel, founder of Blu Lux Vacations. My journey began in the wedding industry over a decade ago, eventually leading me to Mexico where I experienced firsthand the magic of destination celebrations — where travel and meaningful moments come together seamlessly.
Those experiences, paired with a passion for elevated travel, inspired the creation of Blu Lux Vacations: a boutique agency dedicated to crafting exceptional destination weddings and refined group experiences.
With a background in healthcare as a Cardiothoracic ICU nurse, I bring a calm, detail-driven approach to every client experience — ensuring every element is handled with care and precision.
When you work with Blu Lux Vacations, you gain more than a travel advisor — you gain a trusted partner who thoughtfully guides you through resort selection, guest logistics, and every detail that shapes your celebration.
At its core, Blu Lux Vacations is about creating experiences that feel as seamless as they are unforgettable.
MADELAINE ABUKHATER
Travel Advisor
Travel has always been at the heart of who I am. I grew up exploring some of the world’s most beautiful destinations, and those early experiences shaped my deep appreciation for these places—especially Mexico and the Dominican Republic. They ultimately led me to become a travel agent, where I can share that knowledge with others in a meaningful way. Those travels also inspired me to have my own destination wedding in Mexico!
As a destination wedding bride myself, I understand firsthand how exciting—and overwhelming—planning a wedding abroad can be. That personal experience is what drives my passion for supporting couples through every step of the process. I don’t just book travel; I act as a trusted partner, advocate, and guide, helping couples navigate resort options, guest logistics, timelines, and all the details that make a destination wedding seamless and stress-free.
When I’m not planning destination weddings, honeymoons, and unforgettable getaways, you’ll likely find me soaking up the sunshine in my hometown of San Diego.
